Farm servicing & repairs

Farm ute and truck maintenance

Plan maintenance for the utes and trucks that support day-to-day farm work.

Speak directly with Raj, a mechanic with 20+ years of experience across India, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand, including eight years in NZ. His previous work at Almarai included tractors, loaders, forklifts, trucks and hydraulics.

Describe both road and farm use

Give the registration, model, engine and kilometres, plus hours if recorded. Explain typical loads, towing and off-road work. Service records help Raj identify what has already been done and discuss the next maintenance tasks for the particular vehicle.

Bring working concerns into the booking

Report difficult starting, leakage, unusual noise or changes in braking and handling when arranging the visit. Ask whether the booking should include diagnosis as well as scheduled servicing. Truck systems and inspection requirements vary; confirm the scope of heavier-vehicle work and any specialist referral before booking.

Keep servicing and certification distinct

Mechanical maintenance and repairs are separate from authorised WoF or CoF inspections. Send any rejection sheet if you are requesting repairs against it, and confirm the inspection arrangements independently. Agree a practical booking window, parts availability and a contact who can authorise work while the vehicle is off the job.

What to send with your enquiry

You can also send the enquiry form with photographs. Photos support the first conversation; inspection may still be needed before a reliable repair quote.

Local bookings and nearby visits

ARM Cars is based in Morven, serving Waimate District and nearby South Canterbury communities including Glenavy, Studholme, Willowbridge, Makikihi and St Andrews. Call before visiting. For a nearby mobile job, send the exact location so Raj can confirm access, travel charges and whether the work is suitable on site.

How much will it cost?

Pricing depends on the vehicle or machine, diagnosis, parts and agreed labour. Ask for the inspection charge, an estimate or quote for the proposed work, and the process for approving anything additional. An online enquiry is not a confirmed appointment.
