Send the location and machine details
Give the street address, correct entrance and a contact number for the person meeting Raj. Include the make, model, hours or kilometres and a short description of the fault. Mention access restrictions, gates and whether the machine can move. Do not assume that a map pin identifies the correct farm entrance.
Agree safe working arrangements
Discuss site hazards and the work area before the visit. Keep people and livestock away from the agreed repair space. WorkSafe identifies stored energy, including pressurised fluids, as part of machinery isolation: switching an engine off is not a complete isolation procedure. Leave isolation and repair decisions to competent people using the correct procedure.
Confirm charges and authorisation
Ask about travel, the initial diagnostic charge, parts ordering and how further work will be approved. Give a reachable contact and agree what happens if that person cannot be reached. A mobile assessment may identify a job that needs workshop equipment or specialist assistance rather than an immediate repair.
Prepare a useful handover
Collect the handbook, service records and notes on recent repairs. Describe the last normal use and the first sign of trouble. Do not restart unsafe equipment simply to demonstrate a fault. After the visit, ask what was found, what was completed and what must happen before the equipment returns to use.
Official information and further reading
Requirements can change. Check the linked authority before completing paperwork or relying on a driving entitlement.
General information, not a vehicle inspection or confirmation of stock. Budget examples are planning figures. Current prices and availability must be confirmed.
