Describe symptoms first
A symptom can have several causes. Explain when it occurs and what has already been checked. Ask whether diagnosis is charged separately and what the initial investigation covers. A remote conversation may not establish a final repair price.
Compare the same scope
Ask for labour, parts and other charges to be identified. Confirm whether the figure is a quote or estimate, and how extra work will be authorised. Two service names may include different work.
Keep control of decisions
Agree a contact method and ask for discussion before work exceeds the authorised scope. Retain messages and invoices. Tell Raj if the car cannot safely be driven so travel arrangements can be discussed.
