A budget, not a stock promise
Call Raj for current options: ARM Cars does not promise a vehicle is available at this price. Be flexible about colour and cosmetic wear, but not safe operation, structural condition or a seller who refuses an inspection.
Write down first-month costs
Separate the car, inspection, insurance, licensing, fuel and urgent repairs. If NZ$2,000 is your total cash, the purchase must cost less. A tyre or cooling-system repair can change whether a cheap car makes sense. Get actual quotes rather than relying on a generic allowance.
Compare inspected cars
List work needed now, work likely soon and missing history. An older plain car with documented care may be worth considering ahead of a newer-looking car with unresolved faults. If nothing suitable fits, pause or increase the budget rather than accept an unsafe option.
Official information and further reading
Requirements can change. Check the linked authority before completing paperwork or relying on a driving entitlement.
General information, not a vehicle inspection or confirmation of stock. Budget examples are planning figures. Current prices and availability must be confirmed.
