Car servicing & repairs
Scheduled car servicing
Plan the next service around your car, its service history and the way you use it.

Speak directly with Raj, a mechanic with 20+ years of experience across India, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand, including eight years in NZ. ARM Cars welcomes servicing and repair enquiries across makes, including Japanese imports, European vehicles and other NZ-market cars.
A service matched to your vehicle
A small hatchback used for short trips and a ute used for towing can have different maintenance needs. Tell Raj the registration, model, engine, kilometres and date of the last service. Bring the service book or previous invoices so the next visit can focus on work that is due, rather than repeating recently completed tasks.
Agree what is included
Ask for an itemised scope covering the fluids, filters and checks appropriate to your vehicle. The manufacturer’s schedule is the starting point; there is no single service interval or oil specification that suits every car. Discuss any additional concerns, such as a new noise or a fluid top-up, when booking so time can be allowed for assessment.
Keep a useful record
Ask for a record of the work, parts and fluids used, the date and odometer reading. Confirm the next maintenance point for your particular vehicle. A WoF inspection and routine servicing serve different purposes; a current WoF does not replace servicing. If you also need inspection-related repairs, discuss that separately.
What to send with your enquiry
- Registration, make, model and engine
- Current kilometres and last service date
- Service history and any new symptoms
You can also send the enquiry form with photographs. Photos support the first conversation; inspection may still be needed before a reliable repair quote.
Local bookings and nearby visits
ARM Cars is based in Morven, serving Waimate District and nearby South Canterbury communities including Glenavy, Studholme, Willowbridge, Makikihi and St Andrews. Call before visiting. For a nearby mobile job, send the exact location so Raj can confirm access, travel charges and whether the work is suitable on site.
How much will it cost?
Pricing depends on the vehicle or machine, diagnosis, parts and agreed labour. Ask for the inspection charge, an estimate or quote for the proposed work, and the process for approving anything additional. An online enquiry is not a confirmed appointment.
